Local History:

2023 represents our 8th Christmas Nativity Celebration. We are grateful to a generous community of over a dozen congregations and scores of individuals who make this annual event possible. We are completely supported by an army of volunteers whose hearts swell to capacity each year as they work hours on end, for months ahead of time in preparation to share this gift with the Shreveport-Bossier Community. The weeks leading up to the event will find dedicated souls working late into the night, always with Christmas music in the background, to achieve the extensive set up required that pays proper respect to our Savior, in honor of His birth.

We are so grateful for each and every Nativity set that is loaned. Whether it be an ornament on the Nativity Tree, a simple, single piece baby Jesus, a traditional multi piece set, or an entire village scene ~ every one matters. Being surrounded by hundreds (over 500 in 2017) of depictions of the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ, amidst the sea of lighted Christmas trees and art that depicts His life provides no better way to start the Christmas season.

All are welcome to be part of the preparation or to loan Nativities or just visit. We invite you to join us.
Merry Christmas and God Bless!
